Film ini rencananya akan tayang di bioskop di Indonesia mulai 17 Desember 2009.

Sang Pemimpi akan menjadi film pembuka dalam Jakarta International Film Festival (JiFFest) 2009 pada 4 Desember 2009, dan menjadi film Indonesia pertama yang menjadi pembuka sejak JiFFest pertama pada tahun 1999.[4][5] Sang Pemimpi adalah film Indonesia terlaris kedua di tahun 2009 dengan jumlah penonton 1,9 Juta orang.

Synopsis
The father of Ki-su (Jo Moon-gook), who only cares about farming, is enraged when his son applies for admission to middle school.
