Film berkisah mengenai petualangan enam pemuda (dan pemudi) Hongkong yang sedang berlibur ke Thailand, dan salahsatu diantara mereka menemukan (membeli) sebuah buku misterius mengenai cara-cara melihat roh halus. Beragam cara yang mereka praktekkan ternyata membuahkan hasil, hingga akhirnya salahsatu dari mereka mengalami kejadian yang fatal dan disusul teman mereka lainnya.

Film dibuka dengan adegan cukup menyeramkan mengenai seorang wanita yang kesetanan dan sedang dicoba dilakukan exorcist oleh para pendeta Buddha. Dari sini, tadinya saya (dan mungkin penonton lain) berharap akan mendapatkan tontonan horor "serius" seperti halnya The Eye (original) atau The Ring. Dua judul film horror Asia yang berhasil mendapatkan pengakuan baik oleh dunia internasional. Namun seiring berjalannya cerita terlihat ada penyelewengan tema cerita oleh sutradara, menjadi humor dan parodi. Banyak adegan yang berusaha memancing gelak tawa diselipkan. namun karena nggak nyambung, jadinya terkesan tempelan dan cenderung merusak jalinan cerita si film sendiri. Misalnya, waktu salahsatu dari mereka berenam dirasuki arwah pemain bola basket sehingga bisa ber-break dance melawan breaker lokal dan disaksikan warga manula yang bertepuk-tepuk tangan kegirangan. absurd. Atau adegan parodi The Eye original dimana seorang dari mereka bertemu dengan anak kecil di tangga darurat yang mencari buku raportnya yang hilang. Di film originalnya, anak ini adalah hantu yang lantas meloncat keluar jendela dan menghilang. Di film ini, anak tersebut ditendang keras oleh si tokoh cerita hingga menangis dan baru ketahuan kalau itu adalah anak manusia beneran.

Plot: Michael and Jenna, having been a couple for three years, want to get married and start a family. These plans seem to be well on their way when Jenna announces that she's pregnant.
